About

Ruchill Community Council is a group of elected Ruchill residents who make up a voluntary organisation which aims to represent the views of Ruchill residents, liaising with Glasgow City Council and other public authorities and organisations to promote Ruchill Community well-being.

Our roles and responsibilities are guided by Glasgow City Council’s Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils,  and the Scottish Government good practice guidelines.

Meetings are usually held monthly, on the first Wednesday of the month from 6.30pm.  Our Annual General Meeting is held in October and will be advertised locally.  Nominations usually require to be submitted during early September and are open to residents of 16 years of age and over.  Office bearers are elected at the Annual General Meetings.

Current Office Bearers:

  •   Eleanor Brown (Chair)
  •   Flo McGrehan (Secretary)
  •   Suzanne Halliday (Clerk)
